Say Cheese! We’re Kicking off The Charleston Angler Photo & Essay Contest

“We’ve seen your faces in the store, now show us what you’ve been doin’ in and off shore!”

It’s pretty simple—we love a good fishing story and we’d like to hear yours! And since October is when the fishin’ really gets good, we thought what better time to have you share a story and some pictures for the chance to win great prizes!

It’s easy – Just submit 1 to 3 photos accompanied by a 500(-ish) word essay about fishing. Make us laugh, make us cry, or just make us plain jealous! The best three entries will win gift cards to The Charleston Angler. 1st Place gets $200, 2nd Place gets $100, and 3rd Place gets $50.  And kids can play too! If you’ve got a young one that can write their own story, we’d love to hear it.

We’ll also be posting your entries online as they come in so everyone has a chance to hear them! Staff members from all of stores have already put together some great entries for our own little competition. We’ll be posting these on The Charleston Angler’s Reel Blog and on our Facebook Fan Page, so take a look and get inspired!

And let’s not forget the judges you have to impress! Jeff Dennis, writer for SC Sportsman Magazine; Matt Winter from Tidelines Magazine; and Daniel Nussbaum from Zman Bait will be picking their favorite entries as the winners.

Entries can be submitted to me, Ashley, via email at Ashley@thecharlestonangler.com or bring them by any of our three store locations.  Feel free to contact any of us if you have questions!

We can’t wait to see your entries!  And remember, Fish on!
