Fishing and dinner

Jeremy with a Redfish that was released to fight another day.

Yum.

My good friend Jermemy and I decided on a whim to take the boat out for a spin and throw some flies on a couple of high tide grass lines for a few Trout. Striking out at 6am we headed up the Wando to the first spot. Nothing.

Several spots later and the wind picking up even more we changed rivers and picked up one solid 16″ Trout. Not a very good start to the morning at all.

Putting fly rods down and picking up the spinning rods plus a little bit of live bait we changed tactics and decided to catch a few Flounder for dinner. Are efforts were rewarded with 4 or 5 flounder, two of them where invited to come home with us.

While fishing for Flounder we managed to lose several Trout at the boat, catch several bottom of the slot Redfish, and about a 3 pound Bluefish. All of which were released to be caught another day!

The duty of house chores called so with dinner in the cooler and a slow morning salvaged we called it a day.

Until the next adventure,

John
