NOAA released its final rule today to create a national saltwater angler registry of all marine recreational fishermen to help the nation better protect our shared marine resources.

NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has decided not to implement the interim rule proposed by the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (Council) to address overfishing of gag, red grouper, and black grouper in 2009.

Here’s a few pictures from my last fishng trip. We saw lots of Redfish in the early morning but they did not start responding to our Flies until the sun started warming the water in the mid morning.
