The Big Cat Drift Rig
Start out with a good heavy action baitcast rod and a good baitcast reel spooled with your favorite test pound mono( i prefer 30# big game), a good strong rod holder, some live bait or cut bait and a large drift sock(aka wind sock). Hook up your boat or pontoon and head to your favorite lake or river around daybreak. Using your depth finder look for baitfish, put on either a whole shad or cut bait, cast out and let The Big Cat Drift Rig sink to the bottom, run out at least half or more of your line, lock your bail, throw out the drift sock and "drift on".The drift rig will drag across the bottom right in front of the big Cats. When the fish takes the bait it will turn left or right, the 6/0 circle hook will hook into the corner of the fishes mouth and once this happens the fight is on.
