Book Launch is Lure for Breast Cancer Fundraiser
Casting for Recovery NC/SC and NY Times Bestselling author Mary Alice Monroe invite you to attend a fundraising event for Casting for Recovery NC/SC and kick off party for Mary Alice Monroe's new novel, TIME IS A RIVER.
The event will be held Saturday July 5, 6-9 pm, at the Haywood Park Hotel Atrium, downtown Asheville, immediately following Mary Alice's 4 pm book signing at Malaprop's Bookstore.
Mary Alice Monroe's newest novel, TIME IS A RIVER, (July release) is set in Asheville, NC on the Davidson River, one of Western NC's most popular trout fishing destinations. The story's heroine is a breast cancer survivor who has just attended a Casting for Recovery retreat and uses the fly fishing skills she has learned as part of her healing process. TIME IS A RIVER is a Book Sense selection for July and a USA TODAY Summer Reading Pick.
Casting for Recovery NC/SC programs offer free weekend retreats and ongoing support for breast cancer survivors in any stage of recovery from breast cancer. Participants learn the art and skill of fly fishing and receive medical and psychosocial education and support from a volunteer team of fly fishing, medical and mental health professionals.

Join us at the Haywood Park Hotel Atrium for a fun evening of live traditional music by All Strings Considered, food, wine and beer and a live auction. Mary Alice will read from her novel . Books will be available for purchase from Malaprops for Mary Alice to sign.. Tickets are $45.
